At this time, it is with great pride that I have this wonderful opportunity to share news of our students, and simultaneously invite you, your family, and friends to an amazing free concert series.

The SUNY College at Old Westbury, our radio station OWWR, Old Westbury Web Radio, television station OWTV, the Glen Cove Downtown Business Improvement, and I present “Downtown Sounds 2009”, sponsored by American Community Bank.

Every Friday night during the month of July, from 7:00 until 10:00 PM, on the corner of Glen and School Streets, in the Village Square, in downtown Glen Cove join us for a free concert series. I have attached the official poster that includes the entire rundown that has something for everyone.

I encourage those that wish to attend ensure you bring your own chair. However, if you can not attend I invite you to listen to
OWWR, Old Westbury Web Radio as students broadcast live from the concert for a special radio program.
In addition, OWTV crews will be on hand shooting some video, who knows we may even spot you.

Here are some related websites, feel free to join in:

Visit OWWR, Old Westbury Web Radio on Facebook, and MySpace. In addition, check out
OWTV, Old Westbury Television on YouTube today.

Throughout the entire concert series, we will be posting pictures, audio clips and much more to all of our websites. Our students will be interviewing politicians, event organizers, musicians, attendees and much more.

If you attend the concert series, and wish to show us your cell phone video clips, and pictures, use your cell phone to text or e-mail us at:

Hopefully, you have seen advertisements in local papers, or heard our radio ads on KJOY, WHLI, and WBZO.
If not have no fear, your invitation is here.

Please contact me for any questions. OWWR will be on-hand with their broadcast, and station giveaways as OWTV captures the images, stop by and say hello. There will be many activities, intermission shows, vendor giveaways, and other contributions from members of the Glen Cove business community.

Join us for “Downtown Sounds 2009”, I am your host... and thanks for listening.

Have a safe and healthy holiday weekend.
Take care.
