Radio Helps Publicize Student Elections

Help publicize the upcoming Student Government Elections to be held on Monday May 7 & Tuesday May 8th.

These elections are crucial to the future of student government here at Old Westbury.

We have two important tasks: Encourage good students to run for office and get out the vote on May 7th & 8th.

1. Candidate application packets are available in the Student Activities office (Student Union Room 303) The deadline for applications is 5:00pm on Tuesday, April 24.

You can download the application at the OWWR news web site:

2. A Candidate Q&A will be held for anyone interested in running for S.G.A. Suzanne McLoughlin, Director of Student Activities, will answer all your election questions on Thursday, April 12th, from 12:00-1:00pm and 4:00-6:30pm, in Student Union Room 309.

3. Meet the Candidates: Meet and question the students running for office at two events:

Meet the Candidates I: Tuesday May 1, Common Hour in the Academic Village milling corridor

Meet the Candidates II: Wednesday May 2, 6:00pm-8:00pm in the Student Union rotunda.

4. S.G.A. elections will be held on Monday May 7, and Tuesday May 8, from 9am-9pm in the Academic Village milling corridor. You must have a valid student ID to vote.
